Our staff & training

Certified, Attentive, and Always Learning.

Our team consists of Certified Caregivers, Nurses, Caregiver Assistants, and dedicated Cooks who work together to ensure every resident receives the care they require and deserve. Each member of our staff brings compassion and expertise to their role, providing attentive support around the clock, tailored to the individual needs of our residents. Many of our caregivers have been with us for years, and that stability makes a real difference. Residents wake up to familiar faces, caregivers know each person's routines, preferences, and stories, and families build lasting relationships with the people caring for their loved one. Here, our staff is truly part of the family.

We are committed to continuous growth through ongoing training in our homes, including an annual skills fair and monthly education boards that cover common diseases and general health knowledge, as well as training for the specific needs of each resident.

Our story

Meet Krystal Saucedo: Caring for Tucson Families Since 2014

Owner Krystal Saucedo's journey into caregiving spans more than 15 years, rooted in a deep passion for helping others. After several years of hands on caregiving and five successful years operating a childcare center in Tucson, Krystal began volunteering in local Assisted Living facilities, where she quickly recognized a significant gap in the quality of care available in her community.

Determined to make a difference, she shifted her focus to Assisted Living with a clear vision: a nurturing environment where residents could truly thrive in their final months and years. In 2014 she opened her first Assisted Living home, Sedona Garden. To better care for her residents, she went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and she has since expanded to three additional locations.

Krystal remains deeply committed to her community, actively participating in Assisted Living Alliance groups, the Tucson Health and Wellness Group, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She regularly attends training sessions with Southwest Nursing Consultants to stay current with Arizona regulations and the highest standards of care.

Words from our families

What Families Say About Sedona Garden.

Sedona Gardens was such a nurturing place for my mother. My mother was a handful with her dementia, but all the caregivers were supportive and loving. I appreciated the “family style” environment. My mom truly felt like she belonged. She would comment to me about how much she loved everyone. The residents developed caring relationships with each other. Thank you Krystal and your wonderful staff! You all were a life saver!!!

You cannot find a better place for your loved one to live, especially if someone is difficult to care for. The first thing the owner Krystal said to me was “Oh don’t worry. We are not intimidated by that kind of behavior.” My husband had literally jumped a gate to escape a similar facility. He had mid stage Alzheimer’s dementia and was constantly confused, anxious, fearful and defensive. Lost.

Sedona Garden has a high priority for the dignity as well as the medical status of every person in their care. Treasure House is a well maintained older house with a happy and light hearted feel and welcoming outdoor spaces. There are flowers and citrus trees. Caregivers are dedicated and as meticulous about showering and hygiene (including fingernails, haircuts, shaving, nose hair and all the rest) as they are about medication management. There is a full time cook and the food is healthy. People get all the help and attention they need for mealtimes, dressing, toileting. The owner is a nurse and there is another nurse often on site. Both are always available, responsive to questions/comments and coordinate well with primary care and other medical and allied professionals. There are frequent parties for birthdays and holidays.

My husband has been at Sedona Garden Treasure House for the better part of a year. He can no longer take rides in the golf cart or help fold laundry when he’s anxious but he’s seldom anxious. He’s receiving hospice services. For some reason he didn’t like spending time in his first room. They changed him to another room he loves as soon as possible. Now that his disease is later stage he seldom speaks and needs help with everything. He sleeps a lot. He’s content and well cared for. I look forward to visiting. There’s no better place for someone special who needs a lot of help at the end of their life.

Kristine Slentz

I am continually impressed every time I go to Sedona Garden to visit my brother-in-law. Everyone who works there is kind, compassionate and very friendly. The facility is, without exception, very clean, orderly and smells great. The atmosphere is family oriented and comforting for both residents and their visitors. My brother-in-law's room is clean, his bed is always made and he is clearly receiving exceptional personal care. As a patient with Alzheimer's, he can be a challenge to work with and the staff is patient and respectful to him always. If you have a family member in need of an assisted living arrangement, I highly recommend Sedona Garden Assisted Living.

Gail Slentz

My mother was deteriorating rapidly; she had recently been placed in Hospice and the care center she was in wanted her out; a big corporation center just out to make money, not caring at all. I spoke to a social worker at the hospice and he recommended Sedona Garden Assisted Living. I visited and immediately felt that this was mom’s new home. They were very personable and caring. Gave special attention to mom, it was like an extended family. Krystal was very nice and showed she cared. The food was all home cooking and mom loved it. At the Corporate home, mom always smelled like urine, like they never cleaned her. At Sedona Garden, I never smelled urine or any other unpleasant odors, totally clean. Mom lived out the rest of her life there very happy and great conditions. I highly recommend Sedona Garden, it’s like family.
